The Second World War affected M&S in many ways and our people rose to the challenge. The Company created a magazine for colleagues at the front called ‘The Forces Bulletin’. Employees at home were trained as Air Raid Wardens and Fire Watchers. M&S Café Bars opened up, providing a break from rationing.
